Position Summary:  
Reporting to the Director of Corporate Partnerships, the Senior Manager of Corporate Partnerships will be responsible for developing new Corporate Partnerships. This will require best-in-class account management to ensure partner expectations are exceeded.  The Corporate Partnerships team at the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association works directly with corporations and advertising agencies to integrate clients across its four venues including the Hollywood Bowl, The Ford, Walt Disney Concert Hall and the Beckmen YOLA Center; producing over 250+ annual performances. This person will play a key role in building upon the success of the Corporate Partnerships department within the LA Phil.

Position Responsibilities:

Actively engage the sponsorship marketplace (local, regional, and national) to identify and develop new business prospects through cold-call outreach, industry networking, and use of third-party prospecting tools
Pursue new business development activities for self-sourced and LA Phil identified prospective partners with the objective of maximizing revenue generation opportunities across LA Phil's sponsorship asset portfolio
Manage entire sales process to include prospecting, building proposals, negotiating terms, presenting at meetings, and executing the agreement
Work cross-functionally with all departments to create comprehensive sponsorship proposals, while ensuring a high level of internal communication
Manage multiple responsibilities, deadlines, and personalities and have the ability to foresee and resolve a wide variety of business challenges and take action where answers to a problem are not readily apparent
Understand prospective partner brands and their competitors to develop solutions-based initiatives to amplify partners' brands and achieve their marketing objectives
Assist with execution of sponsor activations onsite at venues

Reports To: Director, Corporate Partnerships 

Interacts With: Various colleagues across Corporate Partnerships, Marketing, Philanthropy, Learning, Hollywood Bowl, The Ford, Walt Disney Concert Hall and YOLA operations  

Position Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3-years experience in event sponsorships, experiential marketing agencies, and/or a corporate sponsorship role responsible for activating onsite at live events 
• Proven track record of sales success (generating seven-figures of annual revenue on consistent basis) in sponsorships along with a strong network of relevant relationships of key decision makers at corporations and agencies
• Ability to multi-task and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and demanding deadlines
• Ability to work as part of a team, while also possessing individual drive for continued prospecting and relationship building
• Excellent client management, relationship marketing and consultative skills, with proven experience establishing successful, long-term business relationships with senior level executives of corporations
• Possess critical thinking skills to address and solve internal and external challenges effectively and efficiently
• Articulate, poised, works well under pressure, and must be a team player with a strong attention to detail, highly responsible, and works with integrity
• Strong customer service skills and a passion for delivering excellence
• Available and willing to work nights and weekends as required
