Global Merchant and Network Services (GMNS) is the merchant network of American Express that acquires and maintains relationships with merchants who welcome American Express branded cards. Our objective is to be an indispensable payments partner to our customers while simultaneously delivering differentiated products and services that meet or exceed customer needs. Our goal is to drive revenue growth and premium economics for both merchants and American Express.
Merchant Services – U.S. (MS – U.S.) within GMNS is responsible for the strategy and product
value proposition for new acquisitions and overseeing the largest and most strategic U.S. –
based merchants, network acquiring partners (i.e. Square), and the OptBlue program. Our mission
is to be warmly welcomed by merchants and help them grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Serving as strategic support for the MS – U.S. Executive Office, translating priorities into
action and working closely with CEG, Finance, CA&C, and other key business partners to
achieve objectives, in partnership with the Vice President Assistant (VPA). - Independently lead MS – U.S. colleague engagement and recognition initiatives (i.e.
Town Halls) and partner closely with the GMNS Executive Office for GMNS-wide events. - Manage Executive Reporting and monthly deliverables, including MS – U.S scorecards,
organization charts, and Enterprise Essential Training (EET) tracking, and lead process for Client Entertainment (ticketing and Executive Briefs_. - Act as back up for the VPA and Executive Assistant, as needed
- Special projects, as needed
Qualifications
- Highly organized with an ability to demonstrate keen attention to details, adaptability,
resourcefulness, and efficiency; e.g. follow up in a timely manner, prioritize, multi-task,
and handle time-sensitive deadlines in a complex, fast-paced environment. - Proven experience in project management with strong relationship skills and ability to
work effectively on a team and with senior leaders. - Ability to link strategic priorities to targets and performance indicators.
- Demonstrated ability to make decisions independently, complete projects with minimal
supervision, work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt easily to frequent
change. - Self-motivated and able to proactively identify issues, complex problem solving sense of
urgency and follow through. - Degree Preferred
- Candidate must reside in area that is commutable to the NYC or Sunrise office locations
Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
