Summary of Business Need:
- Expertise with the management of radiology and pathology imaging systems and underlying technology platforms
- Expertise with workflow, image analysis tools, and technology for radiology DICOM imaging in pre-clinical and clinical trials
- Expertise with workflow, image analysis tools, and technology for pathology whole slide imaging in exploratory translational pathology projects
- Expertise with migration, deployment, and testing of radiology DICOM imaging systems and underlying technology platforms
- Expertise working with external partner imaging core labs to facilitate DICOM clinical trial image uploads
- Expertise with mapping clinical and pre-clinical radiology workflow use cases to commercially available vendor product functionality
Key Responsibilities:
- Hands-on analysis, implementation, and support of radiology imaging systems, DICOM image analysis tools, and technology for clinical and pre-clinical imaging
- Application of applicable clinical image analysis tools to the pre-clinical imaging space
- Collaboration with radiologists, medical directors, and technologists in the management of and access to clinical trial images within MIMS
- Clinical aspects of image and information integrity of MIMS
- Timely and complete capture of clinical trial images uploaded from core labs as well as network transmission and exception handling
- Generating, maintaining, and documenting configurations for all analysis stations within clinical and pre-clinical imaging spaces
- Active participation in the deployment and testing of future versions of radiology and pathology imaging systems, tools, and underlying technology
- Participation as part of the Radiology/Pathology IT team developing/updating the Imaging IT roadmap
Skills Required:
- Ten or more years of related experience in an imaging healthcare IT setting (core lab, CRO, hospital, pharma, etc.)
- Knowledge of radiology imaging data formats (DICOM) and processing algorithms
- Knowledge of digital pathology imaging data formats (Aperio, .sis, .svs, .qptiff, .im3) and related analysis/processing tools
- Hands-on experience with product development life cycle and supporting documentation
- Prior experience with radiology and pathology imaging systems, including acquisition, storage, management, retrieval, and analysis functionality
- Prior experience with whole slide imaging software such as eSlideManager, HALO, HALO Link and Visiopharm
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and on concurrent multidisciplinary projects
