With general direction provided by the Assistant Chief Deputy Inspector General, the Senior Management Auditor (SMA) has supervisorial responsibility for the Office of the Inspector General's Audits Team comprised of Associate Management Auditors and Staff Services Management Auditors. The team conducts audits of policies, practices, and procedures governing the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation's operations, such as conditions of inmate confinement, safety and security issues, financial management, and incarcerated person programs. The incumbent will travel to prisons, correctional offices, and Office of the Inspector General regional offices.
