Austin Industrial has an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Maintenance Analyst with Business Intelligence-related technology experience to be located at the home office of Austin Industrial, located in La Porte, Texas. This position will be responsible for BI-related needs of the company as well as serve as the primary day-to-day representative for Austin’s maintenance productivity tool as well as serve as the point person on Austin’s safety application.
Essential Functions:
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis related to the Austin Intelligence suite of applications (Field Productivity Analysis, Feedback and Delay, and Opportunity for Improvement, etc.).
- Responsible for utilizing data to determine performance and business trends to increase output and efficiency.
- Maintain AIMS application documentation and serve as primary contact for internal training and SOP related to the application-enabled business processes
- Majority of time spent analyzing past trends, current conditions, and leading indicators. Ability to review large amounts of data, understand trends, and then communicate those trends to management.
- Provide performance intelligence for business development, planning and strategic initiatives.
- Design and implement innovative representations of data in a graphical and user-friendly manner.
- Proven ability in reporting and BI-related technology, perform average-to-complex data queries, and work as a collaborative member with all levels in the organization.
- Oversee application roadmap and facilitate enhancements and associated investments as required
- Interface with IT team (“ATS”) and third-party partners to maintain delivery assurance as needed
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred in Construction Science, Business, Management, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Psychology, Information Science or similar field preferred.
- Experience: 2+ years of industry related experience in data analysis and business intelligence analysis in a construction environment preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively across all stakeholders, both internal and external, reflective of IT, business operations, maintenance clients, and senior leadership.
- Experience with SDLC best practices preferred
- Experience working within a Business Intelligence team preferred
- Working knowledge of SQL Server beneficial
- Understanding of APIs, ETL, and PowerBI development beneficial
