We are looking for a driven Sr. Processor to fill an immediate opening.
The primary responsibility of a Loan Processor is to manage the customer relationship from submission to Underwriting through Funding, applying internal underwriting guidelines while adhering to compliance policies and disclosure timelines. This includes accurately calculating borrower income and assets, verification's, compliance, quality control, approvals, pricing, funding, and post-closing. In-depth and high-quality training will be provided.
- Process residential mortgage loan files from initial application to funding, ensuring timely and accurate packaging of all loans originated by our loan officers.
- Review loan application and gather loan documents from the customer and third parties in support of the loan approval process, according to AUS findings, program parameters and investor guidelines.
- Responsible for ensuring that all loan documentation is complete, accurate, verified and complies with company and/or investor policies.
- Confirm that data entry in Encompass matches all loan documentation in the file.
- Successfully work with Loan Officers, Underwriters and Funders to ensure that loan files are submitted to underwriting within expected timelines and that loan conditions are met as required throughout each stage of the loan process.
- Build rapport with borrower and provide on-going communication to the customer regarding loan status.
- Work closely with the Loan Officer to finalize loan structure and ensure accurate figures for the Closing Disclosure to be generated.
- Prepare file for loan closing and coordinate with all necessary parties involved.
- Ensure lock and closing dates are met.
The ideal candidate will be motivated, focused, and possess the ability to problem-solve and multi-task under pressure. Knowledge of all aspects of the mortgage industry is required.
- Exceptional organization skills to a pipeline of customers in various loan stages while meeting published department customer contact and production standards.
- Strong working knowledge of Encompass LOS.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Mortgage Processing.
- Knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA and VA guidelines.
- Proficiency with DU and LP, FHA Connection and VA Portal.
- Adept at calculating income from salaried and self-employed borrowers.
- Knowledge of TRID and compliance.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to organize, prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Superior customer service skills with the ability to communicate in a professional manner both verbally and in writing to internal and external customers.
- Problem escalation, independence and ability to communicate effectively.
Required Education
- High school graduate. Bachelor's preferred.
