Join us in this role where you'll be responsible for providing legal advice on M&A transactions, partnerships, strategic joint ventures, project finance transactions, and structured solutions, primarily focused on our U.S. projects, but with the possibility of working on transactions across our global portfolio.

You'll be part of the Ørsted Americas organization while simultaneously being a member of the global Legal M&A team, where you, together with your colleagues, will provide high-quality, commercially focused legal advice to transaction teams worldwide, across different technologies. As a team, we pull in the same direction and we help each other, as we see collaboration as our strength.
You'll play an important role in:
- being the lead in-house lawyer on transactions, participating in process management, due diligence process negotiations, and leading the management and review of transaction documentation
- supervising and leading the relationship with external legal advisers to ensure the best outcome for the business
- identifying legal and commercial risks and assisting the transaction teams in coming up with solutions to manage or eliminate the risks
- building up your knowledge of how our business operates to become a trusted adviser capable of providing legal advice grounded in a deep understanding of commercial needs.
To succeed in the role, you:
- have a J.D. from an accredited law school
- are admitted in good standing to at least one state bar
- have solid M&A experience at a major law firm, with experience in renewable energy tax equity or comparable project finance transactions being a plus
- possess outstanding written and oral communication skills
- are able to work independently.
