The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.

Summary:

This position of a Java Developer has become available within TAR Middleware group that has a number of in-house developed applications to assist multiple trading desks to achieve their business goals.

To design and develop Java solutions as part of multiple initiatives across MUFG Securities.

To ensure that Java development is cost effective and in accordance with business requirement and architectural guidelines.

To mentor other Java resources that augments the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and maintain real-time high volume post trade processing functionalities within existing application framework.

  • Design, develop and maintain Java FX GUI for business users located at multiple locations.

  • Responsible for developing custom applications using Eclipse or an equivalent IDE.

  • Leverage experience and understanding of dependency injection framework, SQL or Oracle database, and any experience with Chronical Queue would be preferred.

  • Convert business requirements into technical solutions using the appropriate and applicable application and framework including but not limited to Java and Angular.

  • Ability to independently drive BAU issues and tasks with different project stakeholders.

  • Based on issues reported this resource will get involved in Java coding, performance tuning, and technology updates.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, work in a team environment, understand and be responsive to dynamic BAU needs.

  • Deploy automated releases using Team city and SDA preferred. 

  • On call support and availability during non-business hours on need basis.

  • Work with end users on level 2 support and BAU requests.

  • Develop test cases in conjunction with new functionalities.

  • Work with business users in driving system requirements, integration requirements and provide technical recommendations in an Agile.

  • Ensure overall quality of deliverables is consistent with high quality standards.

  • Get educated and well versed with Information Risk Management Framework. Identify technical processes that can minimize operational risks.

Skills and Experiences:

  • Full stack developer with experience, 5 years or more. 

  • Competency in at least one programming language (Java, C# or Python) as well as experience in object-oriented development and good comprehension of data structures.

  • Good database SQL skills.

  • Working knowledge of UNIX shell scripts.

  • Spring Framework

  • JPA/Hibernate

  • JUnit

  • Threading and currency

  • JMS

  • SVN/Teamcity/Maven

  • XML/DTD

  • HTML/Javascript/CSS

  • Test driven/Agile Development

The typical base pay range for this role is between $110K - $135K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
