Job Summary:
The Digital Sr. IT Controls Consultant is responsible for coordinating and driving compliance to IT Controls. Specific focus in coordinating and/or performing governance processes responsible for identification, evaluation and management of IT risks and issues faced by teams throughout the organization. Be a liaison between IT personnel and various worldwide Caterpillar Corporate governing bodies. This role will also be responsible for assisting other team members and directing them on priority work items.

What You Will Do:

Provide Guidance on Execution of IT Controls

• Primary team member to collaborate with leader on strategy and work prioritization.
• Ensure tasks are completed on time by the team and meets quality standards.
• Provide guidance to teams on ownership, implementation, and execution of IT controls.
• Communicate, implement, and manage organizational change of IT control changes and ownership.
• Assist in training Leadership and Execution teams on IT Controls requirements.
• Develop strong relationships with Process Owners, Execution Owners, and IT Owners
• Provide support for IT controls and governance compliance .

Provide Guidance on Remediation of IT Controls

• Provide governance and consultation on IT controls policies, processes, deadlines, and testing.
• Provide guidance to execution teams to help ensure control issues are remediated timely.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on root cause of risk and effectiveness of remediation activities.

Audit Support

• Provide governance and consultation for all internal and external audits

Sustain Control Environment

• Participate in the scheduling, monitoring and management of internal assessments collaborating with Process Owners, Execution Owners, and Execution teams across Cat Digital.
• Assist in training impacted Process Owners, Execution Owners, and Execution Team Members on how to complete assessments.
• Perform risk assessment reviews of processes to ensure compliance, proactively manage risk, and contribute to the annual risk management process.
• Escalate non-compliance to controls or deadlines to IT Management.
• Ensure IT controls and governance tools and artifacts remain in alignment with the current organization and responsibilities .
• Engage with Process Owners to understand compliance for their process(es) and make process improvement recommendations.
• Participate as a team member in continuous improvement activities within the IT Controls program.

Reporting

• Identify and document reporting requirements to ensure relevant risk and compliance reporting to IT management.
• Communicate relevant risk and compliance status to appropriate leadership.

What You Will Have:

• Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
• Customer Support Policies, Standards and Procedures: Knowledge of the organization's customer support policies, standards and procedures; ability to guide customers on all company interactions.
• Software Release Management: Knowledge of strategies, practices and tools for managing versions and distribution of software products and enhancements; ability to evaluate and improve release management practices and tools.
• Software Reliability Management: Knowledge of software reliability management; ability to develop and use principles, methodologies and metrics that increase software product performance and reliability.

Consideration for Top Candidates:

• 3+ years working with software engineering teams to ensure they adhere to enterprise best practices including ITSM, Cybersecurity, and other compliance initiatives.
• Experience leading projects across all levels of an organization leadership.
• Audit background
• Proficient in PowerBI, Tableau, and ServiceNow tools.
