Maintains and improves status of equipment and components key to the manufacture and measurement of medical and other devices. Performs calibration duties and provides support to manufacturing, packaging operations, and facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Performs and coordinates the timely execution of routine and non-routine calibration activities associated with current general methods and procedures on production and facility instrumentation.
- Performs and assists the most complex equipment calibrations as directed utilizing approved. procedures and standards.
- Coordinate calibration and repair activities with user department.
- Contact instrument manufacturers and external service groups for repair and calibration support.
- Suggests and implements improvements to existing standard operating procedures for calibration methods and systems.
- Interpret, evaluate, and document calibration test results.
- Support manufacturing in the day-to-day troubleshooting situations.
- Develops extensive knowledge of the manufacturing process and equipment operation to help to identify calibration needs.
- Support establishing calibration and test methods for new and existing equipment.
- Provide technical assistance to engineering groups for problem resolution and equipment design considerations for process control and measurement systems.
Qualifications
Education:
- A minimum of an associate degree in Electronics and/or Instrumentation is required.
Experience and Skills:
Required:
- At least five (5) five years of related experience and/or training is required.
- Basic computer skills and use of software application(s) such as: Calibration Software is required.
- Basic knowledge in P.L.C. (Programmable Logic Controls) is required.
- Ability to read schematics is required.
- Spanish Language (Bilingual Preferable- Spanish & English) is required.
- Availability to work 1 st , 2 nd , and 3 rd is required. Must be available to be on call, work overtime, irregular hours, holidays, and weekends.
