Senior Injection Molding Technician ($21-$27)

Job Title: Senior Injection Molding Technician

Department:Injection Molding

Accountability: This position reports to the Production Manager

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the initial start-up and processing of molding machines throughout the work day according to the production schedule
• Ensure that the new start-ups run correctly, making any necessary adjustments
• Consistently produce products per part drawings that satisfy QC and customer requirements
• Ensure accurate processing parameters are reached to produce quality molded parts by adjusting injection pressure, injection speed, injection barrel heats, timers and mold temperature
• Install and set up injection molds according to mold cycle and set up sheets
• Work with engineering to ensure proper technical processes
• Work with Maintenance to insure machines are in optimal condition to eliminate unnecessary down time
• Wipe molds, blow out water lines, and spray with protectant upon removal
• Responsible for oversight of team up to 6 employees

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience in an Injection Molding/manufacturing environment as a Setup Technician, preferred
• Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
• Able to read and understand work instructions
• Must possess a strong attention to detail
• Must be able to tolerate long periods of standing
• Ability to regularly lift and move up to 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Able to perform basic mathematical computations
• Microsoft Office Experience
• Good verbal communication skills
• General knowledge of workplace safety, a plus
