We're seeking a detail-oriented Mold Designer to work as part of the development team toward the goal of crafting
exceptional polyurethane molds for our concrete forming systems. You'll be at the forefront of product design in this hands-on position that will focus on taking products through the trial and testing process to a finished state that is ready for production. Our current craftsmen have made an impact on global infrastructure. Their work can be seen in 25 countries on 6 continents.

In a nutshell, we design innovative precast concrete products and license manufacturing equipment under the brand names Redi-Rock, Rosetta Hardscapes, Pole Base, and Truemont Materials. Duties
  • As the Mold Designer you will be responsible for crafting and assembling textured molds, inserts, and components of our precast forming systems. You will generally work from plans, diagrams, and specifications to perform a group of related and unrelated operations to manufacture a completed product or component.
  • The ideal candidate is a craftsman who likes to work with his or her hands, has a knack for design, and possesses strong communication skills.
  • Build products, forms, and molds for testing and development
  • Crafts textures and shapes using various materials including natural stone
  • Works daily with multiple team members including designers and engineers
  • Participates and supports R&D and Operations groups
  • Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions
  • Interpret specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company procedures
  • Ability to self lead daily projects with oversight
  • Learn and understand the customers' needs and wants
  • Solve problems by analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solutions
  • Works with various machinery including cranes, forklifts, and power tools
  • Build product displays to gain insight for product functionality and aesthetics characteristics
  • Ability to work with a variety of technical staff including engineers, designers, and operations
Preferred Qualifications
  • Carpentry experience, including finish type work requiring a high level of accuracy
  • Experience fabricating, crafting and working with raw materials such as concrete, rock, wood, metal, polyurethane, and plastic
  • Basic understanding or exposure to construction or hardscapes environments
  • Understanding and ability to read and build off of blueprints and sketches
  • Creative and motivated personality

Requirements include being on your feet for long periods and being able to lift objects in excess of 75 lbs. Ability to pass a drug screening, a valid driver’s license, ability to operate and obtain forklift license with onsite training and previous experience in a manufacturing setting is a bonus.
