Support the company's development teams to identify, develop, coordinate, negotiate, close and manage the permitting and licensing of new or acquired hydrogen project, including green
hydrogen production, hydrogen derivatives including but not limited to ammonia, methanol and methane, liquefaction facilities and associated infrastructure including pipelines, gentie lines
terminals, docks, and collocated renewable generation assets. Develop strategies and provide team support for the site selection, permitting, licensing, mitigation identification and procurement during
all project phases including development, acquisition, construction, operation and decommissioning.
Working closely with project directors, managers and other team members for the development of permitting and licensing strategies necessary to successfully obtain all of the
required licenses, permits and approvals for all phases of hydrogen and hydrogen derivatives projects, including acquisition, site selection, development, construction, operation and
decommissioning. Analyze and identify permitting related opportunities and threats which may impact the project in all of its phases.
Identify licensing strategies and develop assessments of environmental requirements, including environmental compliance, environmental liability and risk, permitting related
issues and technology requirements, emissions offset identification and procurement, environmental technology design and support public relations activities.
Interface with local, state and federal agencies in support of permit related activities.
Identify environmental issues and liabilities associated with the development, construction, operation, and acquisition of assets.
Participate in the identification, evaluation and selection of acquisition opportunities and Greenfield projects.
Support/coordinate permitting and licensing related project activities including environmental analysis, development of project specific environmental strategies,
environmental permitting and licensing, emissions offset identification and procurement, environmental impact statements, environmental technology evaluation and selection, and as
necessary, to provide support for public relations activities and interface with local, state and federal authorities as they relate to environmental issues.
Prepare work scopes, bid or arrange for services, and manage permitting contractors and subcontractors to support the permitting process.
Perform other duties as assigned to help the team more hydrogen projects forward.
Education
Bachelor's degree in physical or biological science, engineering, business or related subjects required.
Experience
5+ years of related professional experience, with emphasis on energy infrastructure projects including hydrogen, ammonia production, methanol, power plant/power generation related projects, LNG projects, pipelines, central plants, and/or natural gas storage required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong computer skills including project management, spreadsheet, database, word processing and presentation software.
Excellent communication, public speaking and presentation skills.
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, and the ability to manage multiple and complex issues and work independently.
Ability to manage contractors, consultants, and other staff effectively.
Other Qualifications
Extensive travel is required.tus or class protected by federal or state law.
