Responsibilities:
- Partners with Business Leaders to understand their business strategy, determine proper staffing levels, workforce plans, talent management including succession planning.
- Ensures appropriate and fair Performance Management Process including management development and guidance on performance reviews, objective setting, annual salary planning and recommendations for assigned client groups. Partners with Compensation Team on analyzing data.
- Provides guidance to employees and managers for conflict resolution. With the support of Sr HRBP or HRBP management, resolves employee relation issues of more complexity.
- Assists managers and leaders through the entire life cycle of employment: onboarding, development, performance management and, exiting of employees.
- Analyzes, provides feedback and makes suggestions for the development of managers based on data from engagement surveys, onboarding, exit surveys, and interactions with employees.
- Partners with Talent Acquisition on filling positions by initiating the requisition and promoting open roles internally and externally. Participates in interviews and offer process when needed.
- Promotes wellbeing within the organization ensuring all employees within assigned groups are aware of all benefits and assistance available to them.
- Assists managers in the interpretation of engagement survey results and assists in the development of action plans and action plan execution.
- As business unit strategy changes, consults with Sr HRBP or HRBP management to make recommendations on proper organizational structure and talent development needs.
- Handles sensitive information, communication and correspondence according to policies and with appropriate level of disclosure.
- Maintains a strong professional knowledge of employment law, regulatory and legal environments and applies this information effectively to ensure the company maintains compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
- May manage and/or participate in special projects as required.
- Knowledgeable of employment laws and regulations, EEO and DOL requirements and other human resource related regulations.
- Must be a proven self-starter with demonstrated drive and resourcefulness.
- Must be adaptable to change and feedback and able to position change in a positive manner.
- Capable of handling multiple projects and requests in short time frames.
- Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills demonstrating high emotional intelligence.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information and documentation with appropriate disclosure.
- Must have strong analytical, decision making, problem-solving, communication, presentation, conflict management, and organizational skills.
- Must be able to work both independently and as a highly collaborative member of a team.
- Must be detail oriented and maintain a high level of accuracy.
- Capable of handling multiple projects and requests in short time frames.
- Must remain neutral and make decisions based on facts.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 5-7 years’ Human Resources generalist experience or internal experience in another domain with strong knowledge of the Insurance Industry and the organization.
Our salary ranges are determined by many factors including location, role, experience and skillset of the candidate. The following ranges displayed reflect the target base salary for new hires but your recruiter will share more specific compensation information with you during the hiring process. The typical base salary range for this position is: $78,000 – $110,000, based on the factors aforementioned. For candidates located in San Francisco, CA; Hoboken, NJ; and the New York City metro area, the base salary range is $98,000 -$115,000. In addition to base salary, full time Intact employees are also eligible for bonus potential and a full range of benefits to include: 401(k) savings and annual contributions of up to 12% of annual salary, competitive paid time off programs, medical, vision and dental plans, mental health support programs, life and disability insurance, paid parental leave and a variety of voluntary benefits.
