Job description

Guides the OE Management System (OEMS) through tactical and strategic support of the Management System Cycle and the development of the Operational Excellence Plan. Guides OE governance for the BUs. Analyzes OE data to drive performance and continual improvement in executing the OEMS. Provides coaching and guidance to align stakeholders in execution of the OEMS in order to drive improvements.
Leads projects of medium scope and complexity. Work often impacts across work groups or at the BU level. Detailed knowledge of the work function and general knowledge of related work functions.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • This role provides expertise, guidance, and leadership on Human and Organizational Performance principles, science, application, and integration.  The role works closely with BU leadership and workforce teams, including HSE teams, to ensure HOP principles are incorporated into work processes, tools, standards, systems, and programs. The role collaborates with Business Units to develop strategies and tools to integrate HOP principles into existing Operational Excellence Management System processes, ranging from safety programs (e.g. fatality and serious incident prevention programs, incident investigations, safe work processes) to operational programs (e.g. process safety, procedures, conduct of operations); it also works with other functions to ensure HOP principles are understood and integrated into their systems. The role strategically develops organizational capability globally for HOP to help drive a learn and improve culture through coaching and mentoring organizational leaders at all levels of the organization, designing, developing, and delivering next generations of HOP training programs, and manage learning team mentors and facilitators. This role stewards the HOP Toolkit and SharePoint, including the development of human reliability tools.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in the application of Human and Organizational Performance/Human Performance principles and/or application of Human Factors Engineering in operational environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, prefer Human factors or behavioral science.
  • Professional certifications in Human and Organizational Performance or Human Factors

Please note that the compensation and benefits listed below are only applicable to successful candidates who are hired onto local United States payroll. 

The anticipated salary range for this position is $131,000 – $226,300.
