The Senior Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for leading and managing the people management related agenda for assigned business unit. Works closely with Human Resources Director and management teams to develop and deliver Human Resources (HR) initiatives to support business objectives. Provides proactive, commercially driven HR support and guidance to assigned business unit.
Explore your tasks and responsibilities
- Provides support on the research, design and development of Human Resources (HR) initiatives (in line with company objectives) in support of the HR strategy, using expert knowledge of the assigned business unit
- Proactively supports the development, delivery, adoption and continuous improvement of HR systems, processes and policies in line with best practice
- Supports other roles within the HR team as required with other projects and operational issues (e.g. Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Benefits, and Learning & Development)
- Actively identifies gaps, proposes and implement changes to mitigate risks
- Manages complex and difficult HR Projects cross-functionally
- Continues to keep up with new regulations, polices and best practices as it relates to human re-sources
- Builds strong knowledge of the company and assigned business unit to be an effective leader
- Builds a strong business relationship with the business unit; serves as the escalation point for employees and managers. Engages in strategic employee and business unit leadership meetings
- Drives and delivers HR initiatives to support business needs, such as talent development, employee engagement, management development, and organizational change
- Works in partnership with the management teams to identify opportunities and recommend areas of improvement to support improved organizational and people performance in line with business needs
- Guides and coaches managers on employee relations and HR issues in line with Company policies and best practice, including disciplinary, grievance, and performance. Facilitates the management team to bring best solutions for employees
- Ambassador for key talents for the business unit
- Acts as the performance improvement driver and provokes positive changes in the people management
- Assists with designing succession plans for key talents and key job positions
- Challenges the organizational structure of the business unit and proposes changes
- Other duties as assigned

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or related field required
- Professional Human Resources Certification (PHR) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) preferred
- 10+ years of experience
- Experience in the Construction and/or Engineering industry preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Exceptional organization and coordination skills
- Working knowledge of learning management software
- Working knowledge of Microsoft products (e.g. Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc.)
