This position plays a key role in facilitating greater connection, communication, and consistency among the various departments at Lake Hart in an effort to increase our staff's capacity to focus on the Great Commission.

The Kind of Work You will be Doing:

  • Work in partnership with the assigned Capacity Area Leader to establish the culture and leadership development philosophy and strategies. Exercise authority to make day-to-day decisions related to leadership development, human resource, office culture, and other subjects as needed.
  • Partner with Capacity Leaders on leadership development initiatives, human resource, and cultural initiatives within the capacity area and consult with all leaders in the area responsible for the implementation of these initiatives.
  • Collaborate with assigned Human Resource Specialists to achieve goals and accomplish objectives for assigned capacity area(s)
  • Identify legal requirements affecting the human resource's function and ensure policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance. Consult legal counsel to ensure that policies comply with federal and state law and conduct personnel-related investigations as needed.
  • Partner with the Capacity Leader, Supervisors, and Team Leaders regarding leadership development and functional decisions.
  • Partner with Capacity Leader to oversee the interviewing, selection and/or placement of all staff members to fill any vacant positions within the assigned capacity area.
  • Counsel with individual personnel. Provide consultation to capacity leaders and assigned area and work teams to facilitate effective interpersonal communication. Assist in ascertaining, evaluating, and finding solutions to human relations and work-related problems that adversely affect morale and organization productivity, including conflict and grievance resolution, as appropriate. Collaborate with assigned HR Specialists towards execution of solutions.
  • Incorporate both office and Cru culture internally and communicate it externally as a part of the U.S. LDHR strategy. Work to shape the messaging of core values to build a strong cohesive capacity team.
  • Ensure that recognition programs are implemented and maintained in order to build engagement and create a positive team culture.
  • Develop policy and direct and coordinate human resources activities related to employment, compensation, labor law, benefits, training, and employee services.
  • Oversee the position focus process for the assigned capacity area(s) through partnership with HR Specialist(s) and collaborate with the Capacity Area Director to identify development needs. Plan various training segments and coaching exercises to equip supervisors to effectively lead their staff and live out Cru's leadership model.
  • Provide tools and training to other HR Leaders in Cru to enable them to better steward their people/resources.
  • Provide human resource expertise to internal stakeholders and serve as a consultant to other ministry divisions on various projects and issues (as needed).
  • Address ministry partner development issues and oversee the compensation program for department/ministry staff members in collaboration with HR Specialists.
  • Provide strategic insight and develop a plan for addressing staff engagement and creating a common staff experience across capacity areas.

 


Education and/or Experience:

  • 4-year Bachelor's degree preferrable in Human Resources, Communication, or a related field in addition to -
  • 5-7 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Human Resources credentials or certification preferred.
  • Cru experience preferred.
