- Assists in the design, development, maintenance and implementation of the organization's GIS applications in an Enterprise GIS environment
- Determines and evaluates user needs, designs data models, performs data analysis, and coordinates interactions with existing data; establishes spatial data standardization and development and review of metadata standards
- Provides support and administration of data maintenance activities, workflow processes and related applications; develops scripts to streamline work processes and automate user interfaces.
- Serves as technical resource to city departments, including providing assistance and training in the use of GIS data and systems, recommending, troubleshooting, and providing support for GIS software, databases, and other related applications.
- Consults with city departments regarding departmental GIS needs and requirements, including identifying, designing, and developing GIS applications
- Provides support for various Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Technology projects using project management methodologies; assists in project planning, data analysis and development of project documents
- Develops and maintains web map applications that enable internal and external customers; writes scripts that copy and transform data from one or more sources into a destination system
- Bachelor's Degree in GIS/Geography, Planning, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of professional level experience working within an ArcGIS Enterprise environment
- Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online platforms including coding/programming experience using Python
- Proficiency with the ESRI suite of applications such as ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, Survey123, ArcGIS Field Maps, ArcGIS Desktop, Experience Builder, ArcGIS Dashboards and ArcGIS Solutions
- Experience in technical consulting and conceptual solution design, gathering business requirements, project management, and the ability to design technical/functional requirements.
- Possess a collaborative ethic for working with teammates to solve problems and experience troubleshooting end-user issues in an enterprise environment
