Geotechnical engineering is a fundamental strength, complemented by civil engineering, environmental and construction support services, laboratory testing, and drilling.
Your role as a Senior Geotechnical EngineerAs a Full Time Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will have the exciting opportunity to take on a multifaceted role that involves managing relationships, projects, and people. You will be responsible for nurturing existing client relationships while also developing new ones, effectively communicating engineering concepts to both technical and non-technical clients and project teams. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in managing projects from start to finish, including assisting with proposal and cost estimates, defining the scope of geotechnical investigations, leading and performing field investigations, and preparing detailed reports and boring logs. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to build, mentor, and manage a team of project professionals dedicated to completing geotechnical-related work efficiently and effectively.

Are you a good fit for this Senior Geotechnical Engineer job?To be successful in the role of Full Time Senior Geotechnical Engineer, there are certain skills and qualifications that are necessary. These include a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, ten years of relevant experience, and being a Licensed Professional Engineer. In addition to these foundational requirements, it is important to have knowledge of regional subsurface conditions, including karst geology.
Preferred skills for this position include having 15 or more years of experience in the field and a Master's degree. It is also beneficial to have a proven record of successful business development, client acquisition, and retention. Furthermore, having experience in environmental consulting, particularly with Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments, would be advantageous. These qualifications may increase the starting salary range to $130K+.
As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, being able to effectively utilize software and tools specific to the field is essential. These tools will help in tasks such as project management, data analysis, and report preparation.
