Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) is actively seeking a talented Full Stack Developer who will be part of a team that is recognized for providing technically superior solutions to complex and challenging problems.
As a valued member of our team, the Senior Full Stack Software Developer will:
- Lead the design and development of web applications that help our customers solve challenging, real-world problems.
- Design, develop, and test software from concept to deployment and operations, collaborating with other software engineers.
- Collaborate horizontally and vertically across multiple teams to create solutions that empower the customer to mission success.
- Provide technical guidance and recommendations to leadership on technologies, implementations, and strategies for modern, web-hosted software applications.
Senior Full Stack Software Developer Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Due to the work you will perform and interactions with the intelligence community and DoD programs, a TS security clearance with SCI eligibility is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related field with 8-10 years relevant work experience OR MS with 6-8 years of relevant work experience.
Minimal travel to support customer and client meetings.
- Expertise with at least one modern Python-based web application framework (preferably Django) and comfortable implementing both quick-turnaround proof-of-concept solutions and high quality, production-level solutions in that framework.
- Experience with secure, distributed software systems.
- Team player with excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to communicate highly technical information to technical and non-technical audiences.
Senior Full Stack Software Developer Preferences:
- Active TS/SCI security clearance is preferred.
- Master’s degree in computer science or a closely related field.
- DoD 8570 IAT II Status (e.g., Security+, CSSP, etc.)
- Experience with Angular, Django, Kubernetes.
- Experience working in secure/air-gapped environments.
- Experience working in cloud and/or hybrid cloud environments.
- Familiarity with software design patterns.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
