- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis
The successful candidate will have shown experiences in past roles influencing business owners and supporting decision-making in rapidly evolving environments. This role also has regular interaction with executives and various business units across Amazon and therefore requires strong interpersonal and communication skills. In addition, this role requires strong business sense and capability to independently drive business partnership. Experience with big data using scalable analytics tools are a must.
Key job responsibilities
- Manage the financial planning process for both short term and long term. Model, analyze and forecast metrics that drive demand growth and free cash flow.
- Provide weekly/monthly financial reporting on the performance of the business to assist in the creation of Business Reviews.
- Identify and create business metrics to understand the operational and financial health of the business and drive improvement.
- Develop quantitative models necessary for evaluation and implementation of new initiatives.
- Partner closely with business leaders to provide financial analysis to drive business growth and perform ad-hoc projects and analysis as needed.
- Analyze and test alternatives to continually refine our thinking on driving incremental Ads revenue.
This Senior Financial Analyst will be working directly with business leaders to provide insightful financial analysis, generate business review reports and influence business decisions. In addition, you will also be working on impact assessment of new initiatives, thus having a direct impact on the business.
About the team
The broader Amazon Ads Marketing Finance team works closely with Ads Marketing to analyze advertiser insights, validate financial return on investments and business growth initiatives, and drive controllership across the organization.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $56,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
