How will you make an impact in this role?
The US Consumer Investment Optimization team plays a critical role managing a $3B investment budget which is used to fuel top-line growth across the US Consumer portfolio. As part of the team, the candidate will focus on decision support around investment optimization in order to prioritize and make recommendations on the best investments to fund. Ability to communicate effectively will be key as the candidate will be working with multiple stakeholders across Blue Box. This is a high-visibility role with frequent exposure to senior leaders in Business and Finance organizations. As such, the ideal candidate must possess not only stellar analytical acumen, but also excellent communication skills and the ability to tailor complex messages to the appropriate audience in a very collaborative manner.
Key responsibilities include:- Provide insights into investment optimization and decisioning, including driving investment efficiencies across Prospect and Customer marketing channels
- Support strategic business analysis across the organization aimed at providing decision support to US Consumer’s leadership
- Collaborate with Marketing and Product teams on investment management ranging from day-to-day campaign management/ funding decisions, related partner negotiations, and budget allocations to ensure volumes at scale are achieved through the most efficient means
- Partner with Corporate Planning and Analysis on month-end, LRP, investment R&O and monthly acquisition performance reporting packages
- Analyze Investment Flexibility Exercises to assess the impacts of Unfunded initiatives or Cuts to the overall P&L's expectations on BB, Rev, PTI
- Ad-hoc projects and deep-dive analytics
Minimum Qualifications
- Proven self-starter with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in order to meet tight deadlines
- Demonstrated excellent strategic thought leadership skills and creativity, as well as strong financial and analytical skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically and navigate multiple stakeholders
- Ability to make well-reasoned recommendations, both from financial and strategic points of view
- Ease with complex data sets, including advanced excel, programming and visualization knowledge a plus (SQL, Tableau or Power BI preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of card economics
- Knowledge of Amex systems including TM1 and Cornerstone
- Bachelor's degree required.

Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
