JOB TITLE: Senior Financial Analyst
DEPARTMENT: Finance
REPORTS TO: Senior Vice-President, FP&A
SUMMARY:
Saban Capital Group is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst with expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to inform major decisions made by the executive team. This individual will collect, prepare, and analyze financial data from the organization to create reports that provide data- driven answers to business questions. This person will perform structured as well as ad hoc analyses in order to deliver financial insights to management. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who possesses outstanding Excel skills, is innovative in nature, and has a strong desire to learn and enact change across the business.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting related to company profitability and measure progress against strategic plan, budget, and the latest financial forecast
· Prepare statement of cash flows and track inflows and outflows to and from investments and operations
· Support the management team with ad hoc analysis including scenario planning and special projects that aid in decision-making across the enterprise as needed
· Assist in preparing and gathering inputs for the year-end annual report across all SCG entities
· Develop and own financial models that are data driven and automated
· Prepare variance analysis for the P&L, Balance sheet, and Cash Flow statements compared to prior year, budget, and forecast
· Perform oversight duties for private plane and yacht managed by third parties including budgeting, financial oversight, and reporting
REQUIREMENTS:
· 3 to 5 years of experience in FP&A, or related is required
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required; CPA/CFA is a plus, but not required
· Understanding of accounting concepts and practices
· In-depth experience in risk analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
· Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
· The highest standards of accuracy and attention to detail in a dynamic, multitasking environment
· Desire to seek sophisticated problems, strong initiative, organization skills, and ability to self- manage while remaining flexible to changing tasks and priorities
· Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members internally and externally
· Strong Microsoft Excel skills with ability to do advanced formulas and proficiency in financial software
· Ability to contribute to an environment of excellence and a “can do” culture
· Positive and team-oriented personality
