SkyKick Finance seeks a highly analytical and quantitative finance professional to join the SkyKick Finance & Strategy (F&S) team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with senior leadership in every division including executive management supporting key business, sales, and financial decisions while developing planning, analysis, and reporting tools. This position will contribute to understanding, developing, analyzing, and reporting monthly revenue and cost drivers as well as various Financial Statement and SaaS metrics such as margin, LTV, CAC, Net Dollar Retention, Magic Number, AR Turnover, Expansion, and Churn. This person will also be responsible for keeping reports timely and accurate while always striving for incremental analytical and automation improvement. This role requires a self-starter with strong creative problem-solving skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ambiguous situations.
The Impact You'll Make:
- Drive the month-end finance activities including variance analysis versus forecast/budget and work closely with Accounting, Sales, & Business Systems to develop analysis and present recommendations.
- Contribute to monthly and quarterly revenue and expense forecasting cycles as well as the annual budget.
- Analyze various cost drivers as well as various financial statements and SaaS metrics such as margin, LTV, CAC, Net Dollar Retention, Magic Number, AR Turnover, Expansion, and Churn.
- Be ready to represent FP&A with key insights in key business review meetings during month/quarter end with Sales, and Business leadership.
- Perform financial reporting, ad-hoc financial analyses, and business/financial modeling.
- Develop various robust plans and analytical scenarios by partnering with leaders of Finance, Business, Sales, and Systems and be ready to document and present recommendations in leadership meetings.
- Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration, and commitment across multiple teams with competing priorities.
- Partner with stakeholders across multiple teams in business, finance, accounting, and business intelligence to understand key business drivers.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple business teams to lead process improvements, documentation, and automation across Finance, Business Systems, and Accounting to eliminate manual effort and improve time efficiency.
- Build processes, documentation, and controls as the business grows.
What You'll Bring:
- 3+ years of finance and/or business analyst experience.
- BA or BS in Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field of study.
- Strong Excel skills and business analytics modeling.
- Familiarity with data extraction and modeling using SQL, Power Query, or similar tools, is a plus.
- Strong capabilities for developing and presenting analyses and insights to senior management.
- Advanced analytical skills; an ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment; work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations.
- Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- An ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload.
- Knowledge of cloud and software as a service industry.
- Strong interpersonal skills - including written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage complex financial models for business forecasting, variance analysis, and problem-solving.
- Desire and ability to proactively research new processes and analytics.
- Experience in a technology company or high-tech environment.
- Ability to work independently and self-motivate in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, problem-solving, and make quick decisions in complex situations.
- Ability to stay motivated while working both locally and remotely.
