Apex Order Pickup Solutions is a new company, but finding smart and efficient ways to do things is in our DNA. Our roots go back to Apex Supply Chain Technologies, whose founder patented the first industrial vending technology more than 25 years ago. We introduced our first click & collect smart lockers in 2015, then rolled out similar technology for food order pickup soon after. As we gained more customers, we decided to create a separate business unit completely focused on their markets and needs. Our solutions provide self-serve order pickup with no waiting, no confusion, and no contact.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior Financial Accountant Analyst will perform the quantitative and qualitative analysis of accounting and finance personnel for the strategic planning of assisting the company in growth initiatives and strengthening the accounting/finance department. Opportunities to expand the role, career development, and cross-functional development to work with other areas of the company and build individual skillset.
- Play a key role in managing and facilitating month-end closing, including preparation of consolidated financial statements and supporting schedules for U.S. and international operations
- Perform, build, and monitor internal controls as well as implement new SOX compliant internal controls with assistance from Management
- Play a key role in recording journal entries through-out the month
- Perform treasury operations and leads cash flow initiatives on a day-to-day basis as well as month-end reporting
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations for material accounts
- Present monthly financial statements and perform analytical reviews on financial activity, including trend analysis and important KPI reporting
- Prepare quantitative reports and ad hoc analysis for presentation to management, or others, as appropriate
- Initiate cash flow budgetary information and budget-to-actual analysis
- Assist in supporting and lead support for financial statement, 401(k), and tax audits
- Other tasks and responsibilities based on business needs
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance
- Minimum 4 years of experience working in a finance or accounting position
- CPA preferred
- Strong understanding of accounting processes and policies
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP
- Demonstrated curiosity and desire to solve problems
- Demonstrated experience working with Word, Outlook, Access, and PowerPoint
- Advanced knowledge of Excel with experience in Pivot Table, Lookups, etc.
- Ability to build and manage financial models
- Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills required
- Previous ERP software experience
- Ability to manage large amounts of data
- Attention to detail is a must
- Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-entity environment
- Strong analytical skills and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
Work location: This position is based in our Mason, Ohio office with the flexibility to work from home 2 days a week. #LI-HYBRID
