Senior Finance Manager - Content Strategy & Planning

The Original Content Finance team at a global media company is seeking Senior Finance Manager - Content Strategy & Planning to consult for their team in Culver City! This is currently a 6 month engagement with potential to extend based on business needs.

Open only to current residents of the greater Los Angeles area - hybrid role with Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday onsite in the Culver City office.

• Duties:

  • Independently plan, lead and execute on complex finance projects collaborating across the Services groups and relevant cross-functional partners
  • Operate with a deep understanding of core FP&A planning principles, processes and deliverables such as budgeting/forecasting, accruals and close, variance analysis, approvals, and reporting
  • Identify improvement and efficiency opportunities and drive alignment & roadmaps for key planning responsibilities
  • Develop strong stakeholder relationships, maintaining effective communication channels
  • Prepare detailed analyses, plans, milestones, deliverables and overall status updates for projects
  • Partner closely with other project teams such as Finance, Procurement and sourcing to prioritize/plan/execute cross-functional projects

  Skills:

  • Experience with building financial models to track forecast, actuals and accruals.
  • Skilled in building excel models, proficiency in other reporting tools is a plus.
  • Proactive thinker who is able to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Detail oriented and strong organizational, collaboration, problem solving and communication skills
  • Must have good experience with excel
  • Nice to have prior vendor management exposure
  • Tableau is nice to have but not required
  • Minimum 5 years + experience in tech project accounting/finance management and reporting
