- Partner across finance team to create and maintain detailed financial reporting, analytics, and models to support actuals, forecast, annual planning (AOP) and long-range planning (LRP)
- Lead key elements of the annual planning and monthly forecasting processes with cross-functional teams (P&L, cash, and balance sheet)
- Prepare monthly reporting package (actuals and forecast) and insight analysis (driver based - volume, price, mix analysis) for business partners and company leaders. Support the monthly business review process and monthly banking engagements, as needed.
- Partner with SG&A budget owners, human resources, and other finance team members to establish annual budgets for non-compensation and compensation related spend. Implement new headcount and benefits planning and forecasting process, in partnership with human resources. Develop a consistent monthly review process to discuss actual results with all budget owners, and incorporate any changes into the forecast, inclusive of savings and approved investments.
- As part of the company’s transformation initiatives, partner with Transformation Officer to evaluate overall company SG&A spending and identify areas of savings opportunities, negotiation, and investment. Evaluate cost of goods and other areas of spend, as needed.
- Support the accounting month-end close process and evaluate the process for efficiency and expedition.
- Implement and document new accrual and forecasting processes related to trade spend, logistics spend, and waste, and help identify future areas of opportunity to streamline both the accounting and forecasting processes.
- Partner with controller and accounting team to support the annual audit process; implement new key controls, policies, and guidelines, inclusive of documenting processes and training, to ensure compliance.
- Provide transparent analytical support for projects and business opportunities, demonstrating projections for both sales and EBITDA | margin; support commercial and supply chain finance teams, as needed.
- Lead upfront design and implementation of new cloud-based forecasting and planning system (EPM), inclusive of chart of account redesign; Support on-going training and process documentation, to ensure a successful go-live, adoption, and sustainable use.
- Lead special projects as needed.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
EDUCATION
- B.A. degree from four-year college or university with a concentration in business, finance, economics, or accounting; MBA or CPA preferred.
EXPERIENCE
- 15+ years of experience in finance related roles; 3+ years of experience at manager level and above with team leadership responsibility.
- CPG experience a must.
- Prior experience in at least two of the following areas is strongly preferred: corporate finance, business unit finance, sales finance, supply chain | operations finance, shared services (accounting or finance).
SKILLS
- Strong analytical skills with ability to identify and interpret and clearly communicate financial information, articulate problems, propose and consider alternative solutions, and provide support and recommendations for decisions.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- ERP, EPM, financial planning and analysis; knowledge of trade management systems and BI or Spotfire preferred.
- Possess continuous improvement mentality and ability to evaluate processes and seek out and implement internal or external best practices.
- Strong ability to influence and partner cross functionally across multiple levels of the organization, through strong relationship building, candor, and communication skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication ability with skills in translating ideas into clear, high impact communications. Capable of presenting complex financial information and concepts in an easy-to-understand format.
- Strong track record of building and managing successful teams.

California Compensation Range: $142,400 - $213,600
- Please note, this range is for California employees living in the Bay area. Other locations may be subject to a lower range.
