Job Summary
We are currently seeking a Senior Field Engineer. This position is located in Rockville, MD.
This position will support the environmental sampling programs under Battelle’s Critical Infrastructure Business Line. During equipment operations, the selected candidate will identify, analyze, and repair product failures and install new components or parts when required. This is a full-time position.
Responsibilities
- Installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of products and equipment.
- Develop creative solutions to more unique chronic or complex issues.
- Perform startup testing and government training on features and general maintenance of products.
- Research and answer government questions about product features and recommend appropriate upgrades.
- Flexible work schedule to accommodate project activities after regular working hours, including weekends.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field with 8 years of relevant experience or Master’s degree in related field with 5 years of relevant experience or PhD with 2 years of relevant experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to travel up to 30%.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license.
- Eligibility and willingness to obtain a Secret Clearance.
- Must be sole U.S. Citizen.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field with 9 years of relevant experience or Master’s degree in related field with 7 years of relevant experience.
