The Company
Our Client is a boutique experiential agency and they are looking for a Senior Experiential 3D Designer to join their team on a FT basis. The agency specialises in high end experiences for a wide range of fashion to luxury clients.
The Role
The Senior Experiential 3D Designer will be an integral part of the creative team, reporting to senior leads and working in collaboration with Producers and technical staff. This role will drive the transformation of conceptual and schematic ideas and renderings into final build drawings and files to meet the vision and project objectives for the client, company standards and budget. You will have the opportunity to flex your creative and technical skills for a wide range of experiential events and brand experiences.
Key responsibilities will include:
  • Overseeing creative and technical development of assets from ideation into 3D elements (renderings, drawings, models, plans)
  • Participating in departmental, planning, and design meetings, as well as in conceptual design brainstorming sessions.
  • Design development and finalizing all drawings and renderings to meet project objectives for the client and ensuring designs are within budget, timeline and feasibility
  • Ensuring all spatial and experiential design elements are in line with brand and style guidelines of company and consistent with client expectations
  • Supporting and collaborating with Creative, Technical and Production team for activations and events
  • Executing tasks as provided by the senior leads
  • Going on-site for inspections and site surveys and support Production team in event delivery
  • Assisting the Creative Director in sourcing and contracting vendors and suppliers for scenic, prop, fabrication, etc.
  • Providing support to clients and ensuring their expectations are met

This Job is Ideal for Someone who has

  • 5+ years experience as Event Designer or Experiential Designer in agency environment. Experience working with luxury or fashion brands an added plus.
  • Bachelor's Degree highly preferred in Industrial Design, Scenic Design, Architecture, Interior Design, Graphic Design, Industrial Design or similar education and/or training in art and technology, computer/digital art.
  • Experience with design for virtual events preferred
  • Technical experience and working knowledge of 2D/3D drafting, modeling and rendering programs and architectural visualization (e.g. AutoCAD, VectorWorks, Cinema 4D, Rhino, Maya and/or V-ray).
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop) and demonstrated experience in Photoshop compositing.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in graphic design.
  • Experience in motion graphics (Adobe After Effects) a plus.
  • The ability to think creatively about brand identity and translate into event design
  • Understand the importance of designing creatively within budget.
  • Be current on new technologies and software, design trends, vendor products, props/design elements, and production techniques.
  • Knowledge and understanding of building standards, permitting standards and procurement.
  • A passion for events and creative experiences and drive to thrive in a fast-paced, high pressure agency environment
  • Strong Client focus with attention to detail, flexibility and accountability for results
  • Strong written, verbal and pictorial communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office, Apple applications and team project software)
  • Excellent time management and problem solving skills, excelling under pressure while meeting deadlines and project goals.
  • Extraordinary self-starter, strong initiative, and attention to detail
  • Flexible, dependable, detail orientated, innovative, motivated and enthusiastic about delivering exceptional events
  • Strong desire to work with a fun, creative and entrepreneurial team in a fast-paced environment.
  • The Candidate must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed; as well as participate in overnight travel for events
  • Local, interstate and international travel may be required
  • Portfolio of past work highly recommended!

The anticipated package for this position is $95,000 - $110,000 + potential bonus structure + benefits, dependent on experience. The package is based on a range of factors, including relevant experience, skills, knowledge, job-related qualifications, complexity of the role, market considerations, geographic location and region, and budgetary considerations. This is the anticipated total compensation package (including base salary), which may include additional company benefits such as bonuses, commission, paid time off, medical, dental, vision, and retirement.
