This position is full-time (40 hours / week), Monday – Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST.

We offer 4 weeks of paid training. The hours of training will be during normal business hours. Training will be conducted virtually from home.

*All Telecommuters will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Preparing, processing, and maintaining enrollment forms in accordance with Payer rules and internal processing metrics / SLAs
  • Analyzes problems with failed / rejected enrollment forms
  • Correspondence with customers and Payers to verify enrollment form status
  • Researching errors by comparing enrollment error reports against system information along with CMS (Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services) records
  • Sending correspondence to customers or CMS (Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services) to gather information or provide updates for corrections
  • Initiate changes to increase or change workflows to drive quality and productivity
  • Assisting with client escalations

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of healthcare customer service experience 
  • Experience in interacting with clients OR customers in a professional setting 
  • Experience with using Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to work any 8-hour shift between the hours of 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST from Monday – Friday
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of work experience in a leadership OR team lead position

Telecommuting Requirements:

  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Washington, or Rhode Island Residents Only: The hourly range for California / Colorado / Connecticut / Hawaii / Nevada / New York / New Jersey / Washington / Rhode Island residents is $19.47 – $38.08 per hour.
