We are seeking a Senior Engineering CADD Technician to join our proactive team of ethical, talented, passionate professionals and leaders. This position is open to any of our Michigan office locations, but preferred office location is either our Flint or Grand Rapids office.
POSITION SUMMARY
ROWE is currently looking for Senior Engineering CADD Technician to join our team. Engineering Technicians work with a group of technicians and engineers on a variety of projects for multiple clients. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to develop 3D models.
- Utilize AutoCAD to assist engineering in developing construction plans including: utilities, geometric design, drainage, stormwater, erosion controls, typical sections and construction details.
- Assist in the coordination of design with multidisciplinary teams,
- Develop plans for roadway design, site design, traffic engineering, and utility design among others.
- Collborate with production departments to develop training and procedures for software and their usage.
- Assist CADD Manager in developing efficiences and improving use of AutoCAD Civil 3D and other software.
- Assist with ongoing review and development of CADD standards, procedures, implementation, and enforcement of standards across the company.
- Complete redline markups in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Assist in providing training to entry level staff.
- Provide CADD quality control reviews of drawings and 3D models.
- Work closely with engineers, project manager and IT.
- Coordinate with survey and construction groups.
- Collaborate with production departments to serve as a technical resource to staff for specific CADD questions or interdisciplinary CADD related issues.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
We are seeking forward-thinking, safety-conscious, and energetic individuals who are excited to work on both small-scale and large-scale projects. Qualifications include:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience.
- Expert utilizing AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- AutoDesk certified a plus.
- Experience in other related software such as Bentley Microstation and ORD a plus.
- Experience in other related software such as GIS, AutoTurn and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Substantial experience in developing roadway, site civil, utility and other municipal or transportation plans.
- Ability to interact well with coworkers, clients, and regulatory agencies.
- Exceptional communication and time management skills.
- Ability to work on multiple projects and deadlines.
- Creative and efficient team member with problem solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent analytical/judgement capabilities.
- Ability to work independently or on a team.
- Ability to work remote and in person effectively.
