Primary Activities / Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain secure and scalable remote access solutions using MS Terminal Services, Azure, and AWS cloud technologies. 

  • Configure and manage Remote Desktop Services, RemoteApps, and Remote Desktop Gateway, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security. 

  • Upgrade and re-platform legacy applications to run on terminal services and cloud platforms, using tools such as Azure Migrate, AWS Application Migration Service, and Windows Compatibility Mode. 

  • Monitor and optimize the performance and utilization of terminal services and cloud resources, using tools such as Azure Monitor, AWS CloudWatch, and Windows Performance Monitor. 

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to terminal services, networking, and cloud infrastructure, using tools such as Azure Network Watcher, AWS VPC Flow Logs, and Windows Event Viewer. 

  • Document and update the design, configuration, and operation of terminal services and cloud solutions, using tools such as Azure DevOps, AWS CloudFormation, and Windows PowerShell. 

  • Own and design the applications intake process for terminal services, ensuring compliance with security and governance standards. 

  • Implement automation and patching strategies for terminal services and cloud environments, using tools such as Azure Automation, AWS Systems Manager, and Windows Update. 

Qualification and Experience:

  • BS in math, computer science, engineering or relevant field required
  • At least 5 years of experience in MS Terminal Services, including Remote Desktop Services, RemoteApp, and Remote Desktop Gateway. 

  • At least 3 years of experience in Azure and/or AWS cloud technologies, including virtual machines, application streaming, networking, security, and storage. 

  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols and concepts, such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, NAT, and firewalls. 

  • Experience in network segmentation and server hardening, using best practices and tools such as Azure Security Center, AWS Security Hub, and Windows Defender. 

  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to terminal services, networking, and cloud infrastructure. 

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills. 

  • Certifications in MS Terminal Services, Azure, and AWS are preferred. 

  • ITIL Foundation.

  • Experienced with aligning the organization and communicating complex technical decisions.

  • Excellent written, verbal, negotiation.

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, generally Tuesday, Wednesday and either Monday or Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence.  This Hybrid work model does not apply to, and daily in-person attendance is required for, field-based positions; facility-based, manufacturing-based, or research-based positions where the work to be performed is located at a Company site; positions covered by a collective-bargaining agreement (unless the agreement provides for hybrid work); or any other position for which the Company has determined the job requirements cannot be reasonably met working remotely.
