Senior Electrical Estimator

As a Senior Commercial Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing cost estimates and bids for commercial electrical projects. You will work closely with management and junior estimators to ensure all estimates are accurate and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates for commercial electrical projects
• Review project plans and specifications to determine project scope and requirements
• Review and support junior estimators with the completion of commercial electrical bidding projects
• Identify potential cost savings and value engineering opportunities
• Collaborate with the project team to ensure electrical estimates are accurate and within budget
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather information as needed
• Finalize bid packages and submit bids to clients
• Additional duties may be assigned as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a degree may be substituted with a minimum of 10 years commercial field experience
• Minimum of 7-years of experience in commercial electrical estimating
• Skilled at reading various architectural, civil and structural plans including but not limited to plumbing and HVAC trades
• Able to work independently and as a functioning team member
• Must have the ability to work quickly and under pressure within tight deadlines
• Above average skillset with MS Office, Blue Beam, Telebid Pro, SureCount, Autodesk and/or PlanSwift
