Senior Electrical Estimator

As a Senior Commercial Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing cost estimates and bids for commercial electrical projects within the scope of service, tenant improvements and new construction bids. You will work closely with management and junior estimators to ensure all estimates are accurate and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates for commercial electrical projects
• Review project plans and specifications to determine project scope and requirements
• Review and support junior estimators with the completion of commercial electrical bid projects
• Identify potential cost savings and value engineering opportunities
• Collaborate with the project management team to ensure electrical estimates are accurate and within budget
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather information as needed
• Responsible for electrical bid management
• Interpret architectural, civil and structural plans in relation to commercial electrical installation
• Additional duties may be assigned as needed

• Minimum of 7-years of experience in commercial electrical estimating
• A minimum of 10-years commercial electrical field experience as a journeyman or foreman is desired
• Skilled at reading various architectural, civil and structural plans including but not limited to plumbing and HVAC trades
• Able to work independently and as a functioning team member in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines
• Above average skillset with MS Office, Blue Beam, Telebid Pro, SureCount, Autodesk, PlanSwift, Intellbid, and/or EBM
