Opportunity Overview
ES3 offers a rewarding opportunity for a highly experienced individual with documented professional knowledge of military and commercial airborne electronic hardware requirements, design, manufacturing, certification testing, overhaul, and fleet service requirements. As a SME, this individual will support the following:
Development of ES3’s Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) and Brake Temperature Monitoring Systems (BTMS) including requirements, design, certification testing, and field evaluation.
- Support of ES3 Wheel & Brake System Improvement (WBSI) programs, including Hardware-in-the-Loop (HITL) testing and SME review of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) redesigns to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
- Support of ES3 SHM development and certification testing activities—including laboratory/flight testing
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide Subject Matter Expert knowledge and expertise for development, marketing, and implementation of ES3 SHM applications onto United States military, FMS, and commercial customers
- Provide business development coordination and guidance associated with technology transfer of ES3 innovative aerospace solutions into potential Department of Defense (DoD) and commercial customers
Capabilities:
- Design & Development: Experience with development and certification of wheel & brake systems. Design must include Printed Circuit Board (PCB) and Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) layout, manufacturing, and testing utilizing Altium.
- Certification: Experience with certification testing including the following:
- Electromagnetic Interference (EMI): Compliance with MIL-STD-461 or RTCA/DO-160 requirements.
- Electrical Power Quality: Compliance with MIL-STD-704.
- Environmental: Compliance with MIL-STD-810 or RTCA/DO-160 requirements.
- Antiskid Systems: Experience with design and utilization of Voltage Controlled Oscillators (VCOs) used in Hardware-in-the-Loop (HITL) certification testing efforts.
- Nose Wheel Steering Systems: Experience in design, development, certification testing, and field evaluation of nose wheel steering systems. Experience with redesign efforts relating to Diminishing Manufacturing Sources & Material Shortages (DMSMS) for parts obsolescence a bonus.
Education & Experience Benchmarks:
- B.S in Electronics Engineering
- M.S. (Engineering Related Degree)
- 20 or more years of experience in the aerospace industry for both military and commercial aircraft providing development and certification of new systems
- Active-Duty Experience
Additional Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship
- The ability to obtain and maintain an active DoD Contractor Access Card (CAC) and/or already possess a retired Military ID card
Travel Requirements:
- Ability to travel as necessary
