VPI seeks talented and dedicated Electrical Engineers with comprehensive experience in the design and debugging of custom digital, analog, RF, and battery-operated devices.

VPI takes concepts from an idea scribbled on a napkin through engineering, prototyping, FCC testing, and manufacturing. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen eligible for U.S. Security Clearance
  • ABET Accredited BS/MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ Years Engineering Experience
  • Digital and Microprocessor System Design
  • Analog System Design/Simulation
  • IoT RF design (Bluetooth, WiFi, antenna selection, module or chip-down)
  • Low-Power System Design

Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong ability to solve engineering problems, even without any previous experience in the technical arena
  • High degree of professionalism and maturity with ability to work independently, problem solve, and make decisions with limited supervision
  • Strong quality orientation, including attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness
  • Ability to adapt to changes, delays, and unexpected events
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to provide clear direction to others and listen actively
  • Ability to work effectively with all individuals within VPI and client organizations
  • Experience working in a team-oriented atmosphere
  • Exercise good judgment, keeping in mind company policies and procedures
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

DESIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

  • Ability to Lead a Design Team
  • Estimating Schedule and Budgets for Engineering Tasks
  • Custom RF circuits
  • High Power Electronics
  • Proficient with Altium Designer
  • Developing Consumer Products including preparing Products for Manufacturing
  • Developing Low-Cost, Highly-Robust Systems
  • Meet Certification Requirements
  • Current U.S. security clearance is preferred
  • Risk Management
  • Configuration Management
