Senior Electrical Engineer - Nuclear
Located an hour from Fort Worth at Glen Rose, Texas

The candidate will be working as part of a team of Engineers and Designers at the Power Plant on Electrical System modification packages. Typical work will include engineering of revisions to existing plant electrical distribution systems including medium voltage switchgear, motor control centers, transformers, protective relays, and generators. Candidate must complete complex engineering assignments including preparation of work packages including specifications, calculations, and modifications to existing plant drawings; provide support to proposals, prepare purchase requisitions; review vendor drawings and develop cost and budget estimates and schedules and scope of work documents. The candidate will lead or participate in stakeholder meetings and perform plant walkdowns with the support of senior engineers to ensure the client is satisfied with our work product.

Level specific responsibilities Engineer IV:
- Coordinates and provides technical expertise for mid-large-size projects.
- Leads technical client relationships and plays a major role in selling.
- Leads discipline department efforts to grow technical expertise.
- Leads technical business development work.
- Provides specialized technical input to studies and designs for staff's specific areas of expertise.
- Approves and signs off on work.
- Leader in one or more areas of technology.
- Provides estimates for the engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements on large, complex projects.
Level-specific responsibilities Engineer V:
- Serves as lead engineer on mid to large-size projects.
- Provides specialized technical input to studies and designs for staff's specific areas of expertise.
- Approves and signs off on work.
- Provides technical expertise for studies and design efforts.
- Presents complex technical solutions to clients.
- Performs quality control reviews of work developed by others.
- Participates in the development of technical proposals.
- Provides estimates for the engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements on large projects.
Minimum Requirements:
Electrical Engineer IV:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering
- 8+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Applicable experience should be within the Nuclear industry
- Must be Design/Modification Qualified
Electrical Engineer V:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering
- 10+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Must be able to obtain unescorted access to a nuclear Power Plant.
- Applicable experience should be within the Nuclear industry
- Must be Design/Modification Qualified
Preferred Qualifications:
- Coursework in electrical power systems
- Master's degree
- PE License
- Field experience at an operating nuclear Power Plant
- Experience with the application of multi-function digital protection relays
- Familiar with electrical analysis software such as ETAP or PSS/E.
- Must have good oral communication and technical writing skills and experience working in a multi-discipline team environment
- Candidate should be self-motivated, take ownership of work, and require little supervision for assigned projects or tasks
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools, including Word and Excel to prepare written reports and spreadsheets
- Experience performing electrical system calculations such as load flow, short circuit, voltage drop, and protective relay settings.
- Experience preparing engineering drawings including but not limited to wiring diagrams and schematics, one-lines, three-lines, etc.

Salary range: $120,000 - $150,000/yearly
