Senior Electrical Engineer

Direct hire opening for a Senior Electrical Engineer. Must be able to work onsite in Butler, PA.
In this role, you will be a crucial part of an interdisciplinary team, responsible for the design, development, and support of high-precision inspection equipment. You will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, collaborate with a talented team, and contribute to the advancement of cutting-edge technology.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with a cross-functional team to design, develop, and support high-precision inspection equipment.
• Lead the Electrical Engineering aspects of projects, from concept to implementation.
• Design and integrate control systems that utilize an FPGA, DSP, microcontroller, PLC, or embedded computer as the main controller
• Develop and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and documentation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and control system issues.
• Collaborate with software engineers to ensure seamless integration between hardware and software components.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, particularly in the fields of robotics, automation, and artificial intelligence.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Electrical Engineering, with a focus on control systems and automation.
• Strong proficiency in electrical design tools and software.
• Working knowledge of robotics, automation, and/or artificial intelligence.
• Experience developing computer, microcontroller or FPGA-based motion control systems
• Experience with analog, digital and embedded system design
• Experience with Printed Circuit Board design, preferably using Altium Designer
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
