Job Description
In this role, you will be a crucial part of an interdisciplinary team, responsible for the design, development, and support of high-precision inspection equipment. Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team to design, develop, and support high-precision inspection equipment.
- Lead the Electrical Engineering aspects of projects, from concept to implementation.
- Design and integrate control systems that utilize an FPGA, DSP, microcontroller, PLC, or embedded computer as the main controller
- Develop and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and documentation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and control system issues.
- Collaborate with software engineers to ensure seamless integration between hardware and software components.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, particularly in the fields of robotics, automation, and artificial intelligence.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in Electrical Engineering, with a focus on control systems and automation.
- Strong proficiency in electrical design tools and software.
- Working knowledge of robotics, automation, and/or artificial intelligence.
- Experience developing computer, microcontroller or FPGA-based motion control systems
- Experience with analog, digital and embedded system design
- Experience with Printed Circuit Board design, preferably using Altium Designer
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
