The Position:
The Senior Director of Software Engineering and Data is a key leadership role responsible for the technological direction at Soleo Health. This position will oversee various departments including Software Engineering, data capabilities, system architecture, and system integration, ensuring all are aligned and contribute to the company's strategic goals. Responsibilities include:
Software Engineering
- Lead, mentor, and expand the Software Engineering team to build scalable and robust applications.
- Establish best practices in coding, software design, and scalable architecture.
- Background in an Agile software product development model.
Data Capabilities
- Develop a comprehensive data strategy covering aspects like data governance, data analytics, data security, and Data monetization.
- Oversee the architecture and operationalization of data lakes, data warehouses, and real-time analytics platforms.
- Engage with various business units to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.
Architecture
- Define the architectural principles and frameworks that guide technology decisions and ensure a modular, scalable, and maintainable system.
System Integration
- Lead the efforts for seamless integration of diverse internal and external systems and platforms.
- Ensure all integrated systems comply with regulatory and security requirements.
General Management and Strategy
- Develop and implement an overarching technology strategy that encompasses Software Engineering, data capabilities, architecture, and system integration.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to align technological projects and solutions with business objectives.
- Manage relationships with vendors, partners, and stakeholders.
- Report on key performance metrics, project statuses, and risks to the CTO and other executive leadership.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in Software Engineering, data, architecture, and system integration, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Deep understanding of full-stack technologies, data platforms, big data technologies, data analytics tools, architectural patterns, and system integration methods.
- Proven ability to develop and implement effective strategies and manage high-performance teams.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, data governance standards, and other industry best practices.
