Senior Director Social, Creator, & Community

***This role is based at our corporate office in McLean, VA***

This is your chance to be part of Marketing team that attracts customers to Hilton through strong storytelling, top-rated rewards, and unique customer experiences and partnerships.

What will I be doing?

As a Senior Director Social, Creator, & Community, you will support the team in increasing customer acquisition and retention, generate engagement through multi-channel marketing campaigns, and foster recognition of loyalty benefits. On the Marketing & Loyalty team reporting to the Vice President Global Head of Content, Media, and Partnerships , you will work on projects including leading a talented team of marketing professionals and working with teams to ensure social and creators are at the heart of our marketing strategy.

Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Lead the Social team responsible for Hilton's global social presence, across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube, and other platforms.
  • Lead our creator execution across all types of creators and influencers from micro influencers to celebrity talent.
  • Develop and implement strategies that helps Hilton build community around shared experiences and interests with our guests.

How you will collaborate with others:

  • Play an active role on the leadership team that informs our Media, Experiential & Partnerships, Content, and Creative.
  • Work with the CMO and other executives, given the importance of our communities to Hilton's brand.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative, growth-oriented, work environment.

What initiatives you will take ownership of:

  • Drive all social reporting, always making the case for social and community's important role in our brand's growth.
  • Elevate our thinking in social and creator marketing - show us how to use our brand platform to bring it to life in ways that are motivated by our guests' needs and beliefs.
  • Integrate new marketing techniques and tools to deliver a competitive advantage.

What are we looking for?

Success will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills:

  • Understanding of Hilton and the competitive landscape, including industry, competition, target audience, and marketplace changes, and be ready to develop strategies to build community.
  • Inherently understand Internet culture, how to build community, and can instantly make us better at doing this in an authentic way.
  • Have experience running Social at global, culturally relevant brands that have a clear voice in social, and where social an important driver of the way is a brand goes to market.
  • Experience building a social / brand presence from scratch or driving meaningful change in approach at a larger brand.
  • Have excellent creative acumen, understanding the importance of creating a brand voice.
  • Have led, or been in and around, creator marketing, either in-house, or working with creator agencies.
  • Experience mentoring a high-performance team.
  • Know how to apply a global mindset to brand building with the instinct for when to lead with a global vs. regional creative to ensure a customer experience.
  • Understanding of culture and consumer trends with a demonstrated expertise in finding natural ways for brands to create cultural capital and build brand meaning.
  • the ability to inspire and sell creative rationale to executive leadership (C-Suite), senior leadership, and diverse teams.
  • Demonstrate a creative, strategic method by applying customer insights, design thinking, and technology.

To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:

  • Minimum of 8+ years of in-house experience leading social, influencer, or creator marketing.
  • Five (5) years managing and leading large, globally dispersed teams in a fast-paced and cross-functional environment.
  • Experience in building and leading Social & Creator teams across global regions (Americas, EMEA, and APAC) and execution for large, global brands.
  • Up to 25% travel.
