Senior Director, Product Management Water Utilities

We are seeking a diverse and experienced Global Senior Product Management Director within Grundfos Water Utility (WU).

What is the job about?  

Within this role and as our new Senior Director you will be accountable for all products & offerings in the Grundfos Water Utility portfolio. You will ensure growth for the business with an end-to-end value chain approach, focusing on the entire product lifecycle.

Among other attributes, stakeholder management, networking, and influencing are all key to success within this role. You will need to develop product strategies, ensure a leading and differentiated portfolio and support the entire Grundfos organization with product knowledge and training.​ Working in a cross-functional collaborative environment with a future thinking, commercial and business development mindset.

Key success factors and deliverables for this role also include knowledge and experience within product sales, new product success rate, warranty, margin, and sustainability. Furthermore, you will be confident with analyzing and improving the portfolio with activities such as, cost out, product pruning, innovation impact, and variant creation.

Your main responsibilities:  

• Leading and inspiring a team of global, highly skilled Product Managers and Specialists.
• Ensuring a competitive, profitable and differentiating portfolio of products.
• Accountable for short-term (0-12mth) product lifecycle activities both commercially and technically.
• Accountable for long-term (1-5 years) product plans and roadmaps that ensure product competitiveness throughout the product lifecycle both commercially and technically.
• Owner of development project and ensures strong value propositions, NPV, cost, quality and time to market, under the requirements from Applications & Solutions
• Accountable for effective regional Product Management, in corporation with regional Marketing managers.
• Increase the use of modularity across the value chain for optimal reuse of product features.
• Working across allPerformance units Leadership teams, Group Management, Operations, GT&D, Sales, Service & Solutions, Application Management, Future Lab and IS.

Please note travel expectations for this role are 20-25%.

Your background 

We imagine that you have:  

• Master’s or Bachelor's Degree
• In-depth experience developing and implementing overall operating processes primarily within similar commercial areas.
• Proven experience developing and implementing key strategic initiatives within a complex global business environment.
• Previous experience within Product Management-, technology- or innovation areas perfectly blending technical expertise with a keen business development mindset, and a burning passion for innovation and market dynamics.
• Extensive experience operating and leading a large team.
• Confiendent in Presenting and Communicating Information across various platforms within a global environment.     
• Working and leading in a Global setting, whilst Developing team Talent.
• A good level of experience in Introducing and Managing  Change.
