About the Role
The Senior Director of Public Sector Sales is responsible for leading the sales motion for all federal, state, local government and education organizations in North America coordinating our efforts in achieving topline revenue targets and profitability. You will partner with the CRO to further develop our strategy into federal targets and to expand the reach of our current SLED initiatives.
As the senior leader you will mentor and coach the growing Public Sector team guiding them through onboarding, enablement, and adoption into the sales matrix. Your team will build and grow Public Sector revenue- in alignment with our Fed Ramp expansion and certification.
Location - Virginia or Austin, TX. We are flexible on remote working from home, if you are in the state of VA. We have physical offices in Austin, TX. If in Austin, this role would be hybrid remote.
What You’ll be Doing
Lead all facets of the Public Sector strategy for North America
Lead a multi-functional customer obsessed team focused on deeply understanding government client challenges and partnering to create best in class solutions.
Lead and participate in completing the Fed Ramp process which is already underway.
Lead internal brainstorming, analyzing, and identifying partnership opportunities, strategy development, prospecting, deal structuring, negotiation, and implementation.
Demonstrate a broad comprehension of the needs, market trends, industry challenges, major players, relevant products, and technologies.
Help build the playbook - in collaboration with team members and leadership, continue to cement learnings and actively solve for blockers in the customer journey.
Research market conditions to develop sales goals and marketing strategies.
Define go-to-market strategy for Public Sector.
Leading collaborator in designing go-to-market product, pricing, and promotion solutions appropriate for the Public Sector in unison with product, marketing, and the executive team.
Accurately forecast Public Sector revenue. Analyze and remove revenue barriers.

About You
10+ Years previous experience leading Federal or Public Sector Sales team for fast growing SAAS company.
Ability to liaise with and motivate individuals at all levels of the company. Comfortable working with multiple teams and stakeholders - from individual contributors to senior executives across internal and external teams.
Successful track record bidding and winning sales through the RFP process.
Substantial background in relevant computer technology concepts.
Polished verbal and written communication skills with ability to adapt to multiple audiences.
Solutions focused and collaborative, you are a problem solver and create winning outcomes for the company and our partners.
Sales star and master negotiator - You are a great salesperson with sales methodology knowledge who will be the role model of sales excellence for the team. Your extensive experience will allow you and others to skillfully negotiate wins internally and externally while maintaining strong relationships.
Extremely organized and able to work efficiently in ambiguous scenarios. You are also comfortable working autonomously in a fast-moving environment.
Well-organized and detailed you prioritize tasks and work well under pressure.
Flexible - You not only cope with change, but you also thrive on it and can shift gears easily and guide your team through as well.

Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
Ability to obtain security clearance if needed, TS SCI
