Job Purpose
The Senior Director of Outpatient Services is responsible for leading the strategic and operational aspects of all outpatient hospital affiliated clinics. This role is responsible for developing a system-wide ambulatory strategy focused on expanding ambulatory care to our community and beyond. The Senior Director of Outpatient Services will provide leadership in planning and directing the vision of Bethany Children’s Health Center's Outpatient Services. Directs clinic leadership in the day to day operations for staff and service functions. The liaison for all ambulatory functions to executive leadership, by providing updates and information on administrative, operational, financial, workforce, and planning functions surrounding provisions of care.

Provide the overall management, direction and planning of the care delivery environment while fostering best practice in ambulatory care.

Administrative and clinical data management. Innovate and improve the patient care continuum, with the implementation of new programs/service lines for continued expansion in patient volume.

Develop and implement facility space plans to accomplish optimal clinic space allocation for the needs of medically complex pediatric patients. Serve as lead for ambulatory master planning and facility development.

Collaborate with outpatient directors and hospital leadership to create strategies to increase clinical program visibility and outreach to serve the community and reduce health disparities.

Promote a high degree of inter-departmental and inter-professional collaboration, helping to organize, clarify and prioritize the promotion of Bethany Children’s quality, safety, and utilization goals throughout the ambulatory care environment.

Create cohesion amongst outpatient directors as they manage day-to-day operations to ensure quality, safety, patient satisfaction, performance improvement, and productivity.

Qualifications
Education:
Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration or related field preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 4-7 years administrative leadership experience in hospital/health care environment. Proven management/leadership experience required skills.
License/Certification/Credential:
Healthcare professional license preferred.
