The Opportunity:
Position Summary:
The Senior Director of Network Engineering will spearhead the architecture, rollout, and ongoing upkeep of the enterprise network. Responsibilities include the supervision of network infrastructure, ensuring robust security, and optimizing performance across various environments such as public clouds, data centers, distribution points, retail locations, and office buildings. Additionally, this leader will manage a skilled team of network engineers, directing the evolution of the network's structure to be both modern and optimized for cloud integration.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership - Your role will encompass crafting the overarching vision and strategic plan, while also guiding the engineering and delivery teams as they design and execute an integrated network strategy. This strategy will be attuned to our company’s objectives and day-to-day requirements.
- Your mission will be to devise and implement a streamlined, efficient, and uniform approach to revamp our network framework, spanning public cloud environments, data centers, logistics hubs, retail outlets, and corporate headquarters.
- Define and drive a cloud first cloud native approach.
- Work with key partners across the organization to drive innovation and optimally deliver network solutions.
- Manage and mentor a team of network engineers and architects. Foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
- Provide expert guidance in troubleshooting complex network issues. Develop and maintain a suite of network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
We are excited about you if you have:
- 15+ years of experience working in data center and cloud Network Engineering technologies delivering networking solutions for large enterprises.
- 15+ years of experience with a variety of networking technologies, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers such as CISCO, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet,
- At least 5 years of in-depth experience with networking services on Azure and GCP platforms, coupled with a minimum of 10 years of experience in overseeing a comprehensive retail network infrastructure.
- 10+ years of experience managing a talented team of network engineers and architects.
- 5+ years of experience with driving network automation within a large enterprise using Terraform, Ansible, ARM etc.
- 10+ years of experience with network security.
- Proven track record ofcollaborating with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure network solutions meet business needs. Negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Create and oversee the financial plan for Network Engineering. Prioritize fiscal efficiency while maintaining high-quality network solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
The annual base salary range for this position is $231,390.00 - $285,700.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.
