Job Description
Primary Role: The IT Operations and Security Director leads the infrastructure and operations teams in a fast-paced, highly productive, and fun environment. The Director has both strategic and tactical responsibility including mentoring, architecting and being hands-on (5-15% of the time) in a Linux/Windows dual (both data center and Cloud) environment. The Director has a key role as part of a highly talented and collaborative team to help ensure efficiency and effectiveness in the delivery of our solutions.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and develop IT governance policies and procedures for the organization
- Drive the implementation, development and adherence to LPP’s network infrastructure strategy and roadmap
- Design and Implement security architecture solutions on Windows and Linux platforms and harden LPP’s cyber security architecture.
- Drive the migration and transformation of our infrastructure environments and services
- Acts as a liaison with managers in IT and other functions, applying standard solutions and processes
- Perform vendor management, including but not limited to: contract review, budget, project management, equipment and circuit orders and provisioning, vendor escalations and governance
- Assist in the design of enterprise-level network and cyber security services and solutions and the implementation and support of these designs
- Conduct and oversee business-specific projects by applying deep expertise and promoting adherence to all procedures and policies
- Coordinate and delegate resources to accomplish organizational goals; partnering internally and externally to make effective business decisions
- Identify improvement opportunities; evaluate recommendations made and influence the completion of project tasks by others
- Practice self-leadership and promote learning in others by building relationships with cross-functional stakeholders; communicating information and providing advice to drive projects forward; influencing team members
- Routinely and confidently interact with all levels of employees including senior executives
- Provide high-level support to resolve difficult, complex, and sensitive problems with network and infrastructure resulting in meeting/exceeding customer service levels
- Contribute to and maintain the knowledge repository and documentation
- Responsible for and provides guidance to meet key network and infrastructure performance indicators (e.g., performance, availability, capacity)
- Review and implement appropriate new network technologies throughout the environment to address business requirements
- Define support requirements, perform TCO analysis, and analyze other relevant data elements

Education/Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
- Master's degree preferred
- Security Certification Required – CISSP or CISM or CISA or Cisco Certifications
- ITIL certification, Manage Engine or ServiceNow certification preferred
- Cybersecurity Certification or Cloud Computing Certification (Azure, AWS) preferred
- At least 10+ years of experience in the following fields: network services, information security, infrastructure operations, vmware, NIST, project and business process management
- 5+ years of Managerial experience required coaching and developing employees through all phases of the employment relationship
Work Experience
- Deep knowledge of design, procurement, development, deployment, maintenance, and support of networks (voice, data, and video) and infrastructure (servers, databases, and application stack)
- Proven experience working with IT Service management tools and technologies
- Highly technical with a foundation preferably in Network Operations and Infrastructure Operations;
- Ability to work hands-on as necessary
- Experience in implementation of enterprise level infrastructure services
- Ability to conceptualize technology vision, enabling innovation and understanding IT infrastructure trends that can create business value and reduce overall costs.
- Experience in vendor management
- Ability to work under the pressure of tight time frames on implementations and migrations
- Strong leadership, communication, presentation, written, verbal and interpersonal skills, with a strong customer service orientation. Self-motivated and driven.
- Expertise in vendor contract compliance and vendor governance
- Understanding of technology currently installed across the enterprise
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Process-oriented
- Ability to work across diverse organizations
Travel: Approximately 20% of the time with overnights
The salary range for this position is $170,000-$190,000
