Compensation Range: $171,180 - $230,460 total compensation
Location: Sunnyvale/Mountainside, CA
What this job involves - As a senior member of the JLL Americas HSSE team, this individual will be accountable for providing HSSE expertise for a large Work Dynamics account and supporting HSSE professionals. This role reports directly to the Americas HSSE Lead, with regular reporting to the Account Center of Excellence for Technical Services, and will have accountability for the implementation support of the Global Work Dynamics HSSE program across all account operations. As a member of the HSSE team, the HSSE Director will be responsible for deploying and supporting the JLL health, safety, and environmental risk management strategy and supporting the HSSE professionals on their team. The role will manage HSSE matters for the Work Dynamics client account in the allocated region. The main function will be to;
  • Enable the Work Dynamics business to comply with JLL, cultural, client, and statutory requirements in its operations: demonstrate leadership in health, safety, and environmental issues, ensuring that the JLL HSSE Management System and Standards are applied across areas of responsibility
  • Provide strategic leadership, technical expertise, and support for all client account programs on regulatory compliance issues in Health, Safety, and Environment. This may include leading a geographically distributed team of HSSE Managers and specialists to deliver the program to standards
  • Facilitate the delivery and management of HSSE by supporting Work Dynamics personnel to achieve compliance and performance reporting against all JLL & client-set HSSE metrics and KRI's
  • Manage HSSE team members operating within the account, both direct reporting and matrix reporting relationships
  • Provide guidance and advice on health and safety risk management at all levels for the Work Dynamics account and within the Americas region
  • Support work teams to secure operational HSSE compliance, including providing support for HSSE audits and inspections as required
  • Secure the development of a positive, proactive HSSE culture at all levels throughout the account

Interested? An ideal candidate would need to have the following qualifications
Desired experience and technical skills
Required:
  • 10+ years of proven history of implementation of health, safety, and environmental systems and processes
  • Relevant HSSE experience in a similar environment (e.g., Laboratories, MEP, Facilities Management, Construction, HSSE enforcement or consultancy)
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to deal with all people at all organizational levels, internally and externally
  • Computer literate with knowledge of commonly used software programs, including Microsoft Office applications

Preferred:
  • Recognized HSSE professional qualifications and professional memberships appropriate for the role
  • Internal or External Auditor Qualifications
  • Membership of a local HSSE management professional body

Estimated compensation for this position is:
185,000.00 - 230,000.00 USD
The pay range listed is a total compensation range including bonus, if applicable. The provided range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data.
