Job Title:Senior Director Brand Experience & Engagement
Reports to: CEO/Executive Director
About USA Football:
USA Football is the governing body of American football in the United States, the sole US member of the International Federation of American Football, and a recognized sports
organization of the US Olympic & Paralympic Committee. Its non-profit mission includes designing and delivering premier educational, development, and competitive programs for American football, including tackle and flag football. USA Football is the only organization that selects and organizes men’s and women’s US National Teams in federation-sanctioned international competition.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary
As the Sr. Director Brand Experience & Engagement for USA Football, you will drive our Brand Experience strategy through the development of high impact messaging/positioning, attention-grabbing media and visuals, content that amplifies the USA Football brand and brand activation before, during and post events.
This cross-functional role will work with the broader marketing, creative and communications teams to build and execute content-rich campaigns that help further USA Football’s brand, programs and events. This role requires both strategic and tactical execution, focused storytelling, brand positioning, and leadership skills. You’ll be responsible for shaping our story and brand consistency and standards across channels and content campaigns.
This role will have oversight of USA Football’s social media, creative (design + multimedia capture + development).
Key Areas of Ownership/Focus
  • Content storytelling via PSAs, docuseries, social media campaigns, brand imagery ensuring diversity and inclusivity, etc.
  • Brand positioning and messaging alongside communication and marketing depts.
  • Content capture, creation and strategy
  • Brand experience before, during and onsite at events
  • Creative and brand blueprint development and execution
  • Social media organic growth and engagement
  • Unification of brand portfolio and narrative
What you’ll do
  • Develop and executive a holistic content marketing strategy, aligned to target audiences, positioning, and business objectives.
  • Oversee the creation and distribution of high-quality, innovative multimedia content.
  • Grow the perception of the brand and position of USA Football as a thought leader in the football space, both flag and tackle.
  • Create emotional attachment to USA Football by working with team to drive demand, brand loyalty and recognition through in-person and digital experiences.
  • Evolve content and visual standards to simplify, unify, and optimize for reach.
  • Work with other departments to identify content gaps, emerging trends, and competitor activities.
  • Work with Consulting Sales, Education and Marketing to develop creative assets, case studies and resources to help drive bottom-line growth and adoption
  • Oversee Brand Team’s efforts with Marketing, Communications and Consulting Sales to launch Discovery Meetings and develop Go-To-Market Strategies (GTM)
  • Oversee and grow social media activation and engagement
  • Lead an internal team and manage relationships with external agencies, freelancers, and subject matter experts.
  • Monitor and analyze content performance and build insights back into programs to continually optimize for results.
  • Help lead strategies to enhance adoption of complex resources with our Education and Marketing teams, including ideating, storyboarding, and developing execution plans.
  • With team, develop a storytelling process or system to help streamline content capture and work with Marketing & Advertising department to identify areas for deployment to raise USA Football’s core brand awareness and engagement
  • Monitor and analyze content performance and build insights back into programs to continually optimize for results.
  • Recommend and implement innovative new approaches to make our content and creative stand out and have even greater impact.
  • Build and oversee brand alignment with 3rd party brands, including NFL Clubs, Sponsors and Partners and other sport associations
  • Develop and/or manage contracts for appropriate areas within team, including content capture, event logistics or licensing agreements with other media brands.
Requirements:
  • Creative driven marketer/brand creator; creative thinker, motivated, self-starter
  • 15+ years of experience within content marketing, social media, high impact storytelling, including 7+ years of managerial experience.
  • Demonstrated success managing a team of copywriters, content marketers, social media, and creatives, both in-house and freelance, to get results.
  • Previous experience unifying brands, narratives, and content portfolios across teams, divisions, or business entities
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to balance speed and quality.
  • Ability to translate research and insights into compelling content
  • Comfortable engaging and communicating with executive level stakeholders.
  • Competent leader who drives high performing team to reach goals
  • Demonstrated success managing multi-pronged teams, with special focuses on: event experiences, copywriters, content marketers, social media, creatives, both in-house and freelance in a fast pace, nimble environment
  • 20-25% travel is required
As required by Equal Pay Transparency Act, USA Football provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, education, etc. The pay range for this position is as follows: $103,600-176,400
This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program. Must meet requirements.

Work Environment
This job primarily operates in a remote office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.
Physical Demands
Requires the ability to sit for more than four hours per day, reading, listening, stooping, bending, and manual dexterity.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time remote position. This position requires standard work hours and some weekend work.
Travel
20-25% of travel is required for this position.

We offer a competitive salary and benefits.
Salary range for this position is $103,600-176,400, commensurate with experience, education, and skills.
