Purdue University announces a national search for our next Senior Director of Career Success. The Senior Director of Career Success manages and leads university-level services to prepare and support students for their next steps following degree completion, including beginning their careers or pursuing additional education via professional school. The students to be served include all students of Purdue University’s main campus enterprise, which includes those based in West Lafayette, in Indianapolis, or at Purdue Polytechnic Statewide locations.
This position is responsible for the operation and management of both the Center for Career Opportunities and Pre-professional Advising. High level responsibilities include providing strategic direction to the Career Success area, supervising the management team, managing budget and pursuing additional sources of funding, and cultivating and sustaining productive relationships both external to the university (e.g., employers, workforce development agencies) and internal (e.g., career services staff within colleges/schools).
The Senior Director reports to the Associate Vice Provost for World Readiness and will collaborate with other unit leaders from within World Readiness to advance Purdue University’s goals for world readiness.

The target salary range for this position is $128,000 – 138,000.

Required:
- Master’s degree in College Student Affairs, Counseling, Human Resources, or related field
- 6 years of experience in career services or pre-professional advising
- An equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered
- Knowledge of best practices in career development, career services, pre-professional advising, and recruiting/hiring of new college graduates
- Commitment to student success and equitable outcomes
- Creative thinking and problem solving
- Leadership skills, including the ability to set and communicate a vision, to motivate and manage people, and to monitor progress toward goals and adjust strategy when needed
- Ability to influence and build work relationships among a diverse workforce at all levels
Preferred:
- Experience supervising employees and leading a team.
