Position Overview
C&S is seeking a Senior Electrical Designer to join our Infrastructure Team as part of our Education, Healthcare and Public Facilities Group. The successful candidate will have experience in the design of low voltage electrical systems for buildings, utilities, industrial, campus and facilities. The position will require working on and leading teams for designs of various projects. Candidate will have the opportunity to lead in the growth of the MEP development of staff and provide business opportunities for future projects.
Position Responsibilities
- Work with other engineers/designers to implement design in various softwares.
- Documentation and review of existing power, lighting, communication and life-safety systems based on site investigations.
- Proficiency in AutoCad and Revit with fluency in MS Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Produce engineering documents from mark-ups, "redlines", and other commentary provided by other engineers/designers.
- Actively coordinate and engage in thoughtful solutions with the greater project team(s).
- Provide feedback to senior engineer on feasibility of designed installations.
- Utilize safe work practices in accordance with federal, state, local, and company standards.
- Communicate incidents, accidents, near misses, potential hazards, and unsafe working conditions to a supervisor or the Health and Safety Department as soon as identified.
Skills/Education/Experience
- Associates' degree in Electrical Engineering or another related field
- 5-15 years of related experience
- Demonstrable experience with Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit.
- Able to investigate and document existing conditions at project sites, and communicate those findings back to the greater team.
- Able to clearly communicate and identify system requirements for a given process.
- Able to communicate both verbally and in writing with clients.
- Able to decipher the National Electrical Code.
Estimated Compensation Range: $38.00-$42.00/hour*
