Interstate Bridge Replacement Program
- Ensure project plans and specifications are clear and provide a readily constructible project, working in concert with our management team.
- Ensure appropriate and adequate technical and design staffing/resourcing for the program, including transportation planning, design, cost estimates and specifications.
- Advise our management team with program specific technical guidance and provide expertise to staff, regions, headquarters, transportation partners and their personnel.
- Incorporate equity and climate lens in the design process and outcomes.
- Review work to meet project milestones and advise a team of engineers on the highest priority and highest risk projects.
- Review plans for compliance with state and federal design standards and serve as the engineer of record on projects.
- Develop and revise interchange designs.
- Present training classes, workshops or conferences and serve as a consultant to management on statewide committees and represent the agency on professional committees and task forces with other state agencies.
- Respond as the primary contact for program questions related to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), pedestrian crossings, truck turning, traffic calming and other urban related engineering.
- Work is performed indoors and outdoors with hybrid work options available - the frequency of remote work depends on business needs and will be determined between the hiring manager and the successful candidate at the time of hire.
- Travel required between ODOT and WSDOT projects and offices as needed; occasional overnight travel may be necessary.

- Experience working on roadway and highway design.
- Experience with developing final plans sets (PS&E) and coordinating with construction.
- Experience working with travel demand modeling, traffic and safety analysis, and traffic modeling and simulation.
- Experience working as a team player on a multi-discipline, multi-agency program including the demonstrated ability to coordinate between various teams and agencies.
- Experience working and leading tasks on a fast-paced and high-profile program.
